Everything I make is an effort to confront the conflicts within traditional interpretations of what it is to be feminine. To be a lover and a mother, to be risqué and domestic.

I aim to create pieces that reflect this by being, at once, both delicate and guarded, voluptuous but inflexible.

To produce my work I use techniques associated with notions of female craft, for example, embroidery, make-up and cake decoration, and materials, such as ceramics and textiles, which have a relationship with the home and the tactile.
