Helen Green

My work deals with the dynamics of the metropolitan environment. The psychology of confined urban homes, and how these environments can act as a prison or waiting room as well as places of sanctuary.

I explore the relationship between interior and exterior spaces as well as people existing in and looking out from spaces of comfort to exteriors. Within these psychological space profiles are reflections on conflicting feelings of connectedness and disconnectedness, isolation and loneliness and the stillness before a happening.
